kinoMANUAL book

“A close friend of mine has asked me recently why anyone would want to watch abstract animation. Who needs it? Underlying the question was the implicit yet common assumption that abstract art is generally not only difficult but also boring. My answer satisfied her moderately (“You know, some people feel an aesthetic need to just stare at images that have no deeper meaning and just move rhythmically to the beat of minimal music…”), which made me realise for the umpteenth time the problem many have people with abstract art.”
